Andalucia, September 2010.
Our trip to Andalucia was the
greatest ever. We stayed at Bed &
Breakfast | Guesthouse Casa don
Carlos, in Alhaurin el Grande,
which was more of a hotel than a
B&B, the best service and
hospitality ever, I am not
exaggerating!
We felt very welcome at Carlo’s
and Ronald’s place. They serve
great breakfast, lunches and
dinners (homemade by Carlos)
and of course the Cava tasted
really good after a day on the
motorbike … not to mention the
refreshing pool!
We hired a GS Heaven BMW GS
Adventure (which is quite a big
bike compared to Robin’s
Ducati…) to explore the most
beautiful place on earth:
Andalucia. read more in our blog:

Stephen Tate (IE)Just like
Stephen Stephen Tate, owner of
Irish Motorcycle Adventures (
www.irish bike.com ) in Northern
Ireland: quote:"I got away for a few
days riding in late October. Our
summer season had finished and it
was a good opportunity to get in
some riding while things are quiet. I
flew to Malaga, Spain and hired a
GS Adventure from GS Heaven and
covered around 1200km in 4 days.
The roads are great and very quiet, a
prefect place for some late season
riding." Watch my photos on

The GS Heaven experience of
Sharp (USA) in Spain.
It’s not every day that GS Heaven receives
enquiries from Texas USA but in March this year
Bill Sharp of Arlington Texas booked one of our
GS Heaven GS1200 Adventures for a very extra
ordinary trip. His request was to go the ‘The
King's little pathway’ or Camino del Rey tucked
into the mountains of El Chorro...for one day
then return to the USA.
This request got all of our minds racing as this
had to be the strangest booking we have ever
received. Suspicion was quickly put to rest when
Paul, our bike manager, began a lengthy email
discussion with Bill days before the intended
trip. His quest was to visit the famous Spanish
attraction and photograph it with him and the GS
Heaven BMW GS1200 Adventure in the picture.
Why? Well BMWDFW Motorcycle Club, of which
Bill is a proud member, run a ‘Photo of the Year’
competition and the photo was worth a
staggering 2000 points above its nearest rival.
So on the 31st of March 2010 Bill was collected
from Malaga Airport and set of on his amazing
trip in search of that magic picture. Paul acted
as guide as time was short and any delay would
be a disaster. They rode via the back roads of
Andalucía and on rounding the final bend Bill’s
Holy Grail of sights appeared. Now if you don’t
know it ‘Camino del Rey’ is a tiny pathway hung
on the side of a cliff face to allow passage from
one side of the gorge to the other. At just over 3
feet wide and 350ft. above the river its
breathtaking. Bill we enjoyed your visit and if
you ever need GS Heaven again just email us.
Well BMWDFW of Fortworth Texas here they
are...

Deze week (juni 2011) met een vriend
door Andalusië gereden op 2 GSA's.
Voor ons beiden een eerste keer
toeren, normaal alleen (mooi weer)
woon werk verkeer over de A1. We
hadden bij http://www.gsheaven.com/
onze motoren gehuurd alsmede de
1ste en laatste nacht overnachting.
Fijne locatie, vriendelijke mensen en
perfecte verzorging, niet alleen van
koek, sopie en overnachting, maar ook
van de GSA's. Kompleet met aluminium
koffers, binnentassen, tips voor trips,
GPS etc. Onze schema bestond uit
eerste middag proefrondje Alhaurin de
Torre, 2e dag via Ronda naar Sevilla,
3e dag naar Granada Alhambra, 4e
Dag via Sierra Nevade naar Almunecar,
5e dag terug naar Alhaurin en 6e dag 's
morgens Malaga. Temperatuur aan de
kust rond de 27 - 32 graden, tussen
Sevilla en Granada ± 42 graden, op de
de Sierra Nevade top rond de 17
graden.
Wat viel ons op.
Fantastisch motorparadijs, zeer rustige
wegen (uren geen auto te zien),
belangrijkste is dat het zeer
afwisselend is, GPS gebruik je alleen
oom startpunt van weg te vinden,
daarna rij je uren gewoon op
wegwijzers, je gebruikt de GPS
eigenlijk alleen in de steden. Heerlijk
eten voor schappelijke prijzen, GSA
met koffers is wel grote machine met
die koffers (zelf heb ik een r1200gs met
'schuifkoffers' en ben 1.95 M, E.e.a. is
makkelijk te regelen zowel de reis via
GSheaven alsmede tijdens de tocht. Je
hoeft dus niet 6 dgn te gaan, 3-4 dgn is
ook al heerlijk. Wij droegen zomer
motorkleding (bmw airflow/ bmw
summer) beviel erg goed. Allebei een
Schubert J1, heerlijke helm,, ik had een
witte is lekkerder en veiliger dan een
zwarte (van mijn maat).
Kortom onze aanbeveling naar
iedereen is hiervoor te sparen en het te
doen. Super ervaring !
